Artworks Gallery will be displaying more than 1,000 hand-folded origami cranes in the public entrance of the Forsyth County Department of Health, starting Oct. 21. The collaboration is intended to honor healthcare workers and people affected by COVID-19.

The Stepping Up Process to End Recidivism (SUPER) held a ceremony for its first male graduates on Oct. 1. The yearlong program provides support services to those with mental health and/or substance use issues after release from the Forsyth County Detention Center, or those who are criminal justice involved.
Forsyth County Public Health will offer free drive-through flu shots in October on Monday-Friday 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., in the parking lot of Hanes Memorial CME Church, 819 N. Highland Ave. (next to the Health Department).
