Join the N.C. State Apiculture Program for a three-week online Beginning Beekeeper Course, featuring weekly live discussions with Dr. David Tarpy, N.C. State Apiculturist. The first session will be available on Wednesday, March 11, with additional sessions on March 18 and 25.
This course is designed to introduce you to honey bees, how they live, how we can manage them and, finally, what they do for humankind. Each session has sub elements of importance to beekeepers and will require about 6.5 total hours of your time reviewing the online course material, not including the three additional Q & A sessions, at your own speed and location.
This three-week course will also include a live, virtual meeting using ZOOM technology each Wednesday evening with Dr. David Tarpy, to answer your questions related to the material covered that week. At the end of the three-week session, an optional field session is offered in Raleigh for hands-on demonstrations and experiential learning.
