The annual Forsyth County 4-H Talent Show was held on Tuesday, April 14th. Twenty-five acts were held ranging from piano, hand bells and singing to Tae Kwon Doe, stand-up comedy and hand clapping. We not only had lots of variety, but the acts were very entertaining. The first place winner was Grant Wise who played "Heroes" on the piano. Second went to Hope and Alex Arrowood, who performed the "Cup Song Medley". Third prize went to Benjamin Romine singing "Battle Hymn of the Republic" and fourth went to "Sam's Race Horse" spoken by Lily Rose Gourley. BJ Hutchins earned first place with his re-telling of Cecil and Leonard jokes, originally told by Ray Wilkinson, Farm News Broadcaster with WRAL in Raleigh.
A non-performing art show was also held with fifty entries. Those earning overall purple awards included: Jadyn Hooker, Sidney Hooker, Cana Hooker, Allison McAllister, Grant Wise, Reed Coffman, Lily Rose Gourley, Ben Cook, Ethan Cook, and Hallie Wilson.
