On September 10, 2018, Detention Officer A. Ireland was assigned to the Special Care Unit of the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center. While inspecting the mail, she noticed an unusual substance inside a piece of mail. Detention Officer A. Ireland followed procedure and passed the envelope safely on for further inspection. Due to Detention Officer A. Ireland's dedication to the Special Care Unit and careful attention to detail, she prevented illegal drugs from entering the facility. Detention Officer A. Ireland has been a valued member of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office since August 2017.
