On August 20th, Master Deputy Bethea was traveling on Highway 52 when he observed a vehicle lose control. The car struck the guard rail and another vehicle before overturning. Master Deputy Bethea immediately took command of the incident by coordinating the response of medical units and additional traffic units. Additionally, he employed civilian assistance to access the injured and provide fire suppression with fire extinguishers. Master Deputy Bethea's quick thinking, calm demeanor and professional response is commended.
