With the sun breaking through the cloud deck frequently today, this has allowed for enough boundary layer mixing to lower AQI values into the upper Code GREEN range today. High pressure ridging through mid week should keep any storm systems moving through the Carolinas while also allowing above normal temperatures through Wednesday. With that said, the lack of a turnover in the air mass should allow for pollution parties to accumulate though the week to elevate AQI to Code YELLOW Monday through Wednesday. (Payne)
