Synopsis and Discussion

A strong cold front will sweep through the Triad, Sunday, along with scattered showers and thunderstorms. As a result, particle pollution will be low code GREEN. Behind the front, a cool, clean air mass will overspread the region resulting in a continuation of code GREEN air quality Monday. Another system will approach and swing across the state, Tuesday spreading clouds and showers. Particle pollution may briefly spike higher, Tuesday, ahead of the front, but average code GREEN for the day. Another, cool, clean air mass will spread throughout the area, Wednesday, helping to keep the air quality GOOD and code GREEN, Wednesday (GENTRY).
