2011 Municipal Election Candidate Filing

The candidate filing period for Non-Partisan municipal elections in the towns of Bethania, Clemmons, Kernersville, Lewisville, Rural Hall, Tobaccoville and Walkertown will open at noon on July 1, 2011 and will close at noon on July 15, 2011.

All candidates are required to live in the municipality in which they file, must be registered to vote, and must be at least twenty-one years of age. Candidates must file their Notice of Candidacy during the filing period at the Forsyth County Board of Elections office or the Town Halls of Clemmons, Kernersville and Rural Hall.

The Rural Hall Town Hall will close daily at 4:30 pm. All Town Halls will stop filing candidates at the close of their business day on Thursday, July 14th. Candidates that file for office on July 15th will be required to file at the Board of Elections office, 201 North Chestnut Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
