Local author Cassandra Bethea Shine discusses her book, "Her Voice Beyond the Grave" on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. at Central Library. The book honors Shine's sister, Cheryl Bethea, who was killed in an incidence of domestic violence in Winston-Salem in 2014.
Dr. William T. Lewis, the author of "Sweet Potato or Pumpkin Pie: Conversations with my White Friends About Race," will discuss his book on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. at Central Library with Shannon Page, the library's outreach, diversity and inclusion manager.
